Gilles Lauga
Since 1989 Gilles Lauga has been running his own education and consulting firm, specialising in integrating all aspects of his clients' enterprise.
He has helped many companies to become more effective, by balancing their improvement activities around key concepts such as Lean and Planning and Control [sometimes called MRP II, ERP II and so on].
His clients include ICI Agrochemicals, Astra-Zeneca, Boehringer, Salomon (part of the Addidas group), Legrand, Snecma Moteurs, Diamant-Boart, Arnould, De Dietrich Process Systems, Rosenmund, Snecma Propulsion Solide, Flowserve, Eldon. They all achieved great progress, especially in improving their customer service levels and dramitcally increased productivity. Many among them were recognised as reference sites among their peers.
Gilles Lauga's experience with Excellence in Industrial Business started in 1980 when he joined the American group Norton (now part of Saint Gobain) in the Luxembourg based Construction Product Division. In 1989 he took responsibility for the 'High Velocity Manufacturing' project. This project merged Planning and Control aspects with Continuous Improvement and Integrated Enterprise Leadership. This project achieved a Class "A" rating confirmed by outside audits two successive years, and the business received the Norton Chairman's yearly award for it's project's exceptional results. Through previous investments and this project, manufacturing cycles were reduced from three months to less than three days. During the same period cost decreased and quality improved driving to major market share development.
Before joining The Delos Partnership, Gilles Lauga spent ten years as an Oliver Wight Associate. All the above assignments were conducted through consulting and education mostly delivered through his company Gilles Lauga Conseil SARL. He has also helped companies gain experience in capturing and deploying Voice Of Customer for Strategy and for New Product Development. He guided companies through 'Lean Programs' and conventional Continuous improvement programs. He has guided clients in their Integrated Enterprise Leadership process. He has worked in a wide variety of environments: chemical process, pharmacy, watchmaking, sport goods, heavy industrial equipments, airspace and defence. He helped the integration of development and manufacturing in heavy equipment and defence environments, enabling his clients to outrun competitors. Gilles Lauga consults and teaches in French, Spanish and English.
